In addition to program managers, all child care staff who are responsible for the supervision of children, or who are necessary for the staff to child ratios, shall have on file documentation of completion of training in accordance with (b) below, which shall: Be completed within 90 days of the first date of employment.
The licensing coordinator’s review of five staff records revealed that one staff did not complete one of the required Health and Safety trainings within 90 days of their first date of employment. Corrective action: The staff member has since completed all required Health and Safety trainings. Moving forward, all required Health and Safety trainings will be incorporated into our onboarding process and must be completed before an employee begins working at a program.
