What we publish
KinderFax mirrors publicly available child care licensing, inspection, complaint, violation, and enforcement records from state agencies. We do not sell personal data and we are not a consumer reporting agency.
Facility pages may include names, license numbers, city/state/ZIP, inspection history, and other fields the state already publishes. See our methodology and data sources pages for details.
Home-based providers
Family and home-based child care often operates from a private residence. KinderFax withholds street addresses, phone numbers, and director emails for home-based facility types by default. City, state, and ZIP remain so parents can still find providers in their area.

Accounts & claims
When a provider creates an account to claim a profile, we store the email and password hash with our authentication provider (Supabase). Claim auto-approval requires a verified email that matches the director email on file. Claimed-profile fields (website, description, hours, contact) are public once published by the owner.
Parents can optionally leave an email on a facility page to hear about status updates for that center. We use that address only for those alerts and related account notices.
