This follow-up visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
Educator was out of ratio during the visit. There were 7 children present. Initially, Educator stated their ages were 5 years, 4 years, 2 years, 2 years, 17 months, 17 months, and 18 months. However, Licensor later learned that the 5 years old is actually 4 years old, putting Educator out of capacity as all 7 children were under the age of 5.

Licensor randomly reviewed 4 of the children's records. Of these, 2 were complete and up to date, 1 record had an out of date physical and immunizations, and the 4th record was completely missing from the program. Educator did not have any enrollment packet or medical information for 1 of the children in the program.

Educator is licensed to care for 10 children. There were 7 children present during the visit, all under 5 years old. Due to the fact that there was no assistant present on the day of the visit, Educator was over her licensed capacity. According to Educator's enrollment and attendance, this over-enrollment is something that happens every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Licensor randomly reviewed 4 of the children's progress reports. Of these. one child had no report, 1 was overdue, and the other 2 were complete and up to date.
For diapering, there is a changing station in the playroom. Educator had a cloth cover on the changing pad, which is not allowed. Educator uses a disposable layer but was not disinfecting the diapering surface due to the cloth cover on it.
The 1st aid kit was missing scissors. Tested the smoke detector in the playroom and it worked properly. However, Educator did not have a carbon monoxide detector on the basement level.
The thermometer in the refrigerator was broken so Licensor could not get a temperature.
Indoor Space - Square Footage (7 - 10 children)
Licensor and Supervisor Faulkner conducted today's follow up visit in order to again measure the square footage of the licensed space. Supervisor Faulkner spoke to Educator about useable space and that she needs to create more space that the children can actually use within the licensed space, before EEC can upgrade Educator's license. Discussed removing the queen size bed from the bedroom as this is not used for childcare.
All of the required emergency numbers/information were posted, except for an emergency backup person.
The water temperature was 130F degrees. Regulations state the temp must be under 120F degrees.
Educator requested to increase her licensed capacity to 10. Licensor measured the current licensed rooms and the usable space is 300 square feet. This is not enough square footage to allow Educator to increase to 10.

Stairways
The door to the stairs needs to have a child proof knob to prevent the children from accessing the stairway from the basement space to the first floor.

Educator completed 30 hours of professional development. However, these hours were all in 2024. Discussed that the requirement is for 10 hours of training to be completed every year.
Educator conducted a fired rill each month. However, the date of the drill was not documented and the exit used needs to be alternated.
Educator works with licensed certified assistant, [REDACTED] Educator does not have a record for her assistant, or for the assistant who provides transportation for the children.

There is currently 1 child in the program who is transported to preschool and back 3 days a week. This is done by [REDACTED] an FCC licensed assistant. However, Educator does not have a copy of the assistant's special license to transport and Educator also does not track the transportation.

Educator stated she completed a couple trainings online, but she was not able to provide Licensor with any verification of this during the visit.

Educator stated the progress reports were done, but had no verification of this. There were no progress reports that Licensor was able to review.
The First aid kit was missing scissors, tweezers and medical tape.
Licensor inspected all of the indoor, licensed space. The only hazard that was observed was an outlet not covered near the front door. In the back yard, Educator has a trampoline, but ensures that it is inaccessible to the childcare children.
Licensor inspected all of the indoor, licensed space during the monitoring visit, as well as the outdoor playspace. The following hazards were observed: ** DAYCARE ROOM 1 - outlets not covered ** DAYCARE ROOM 2 - outlets not covered **BATHROOM - no hazards ** OUTSIDE - no gate at the bottom of the stairs to the deck.
All of the required item were observed in the first aid kit. However some emergency forms were out of date and others were missing.
There were 6 children present during the monitoring visit, ages 4 years, 3 years, 23 months, 23 months, 19 months, and 11 months. There were 4 children under the age of 2.
Licensor was not able to review any of the children's progress reports. It appears as though they were all overdue. Educator also was not aware that Infant (up to age 15 months) progress reports need to be completed every 3 months.

There are multiple exits from the basement space, including the front door and back door. Both of these exits were easily accessible. However, there were no exit signs.
For napping, Educator has multiple packs and plays and cots. Blankets stored together in a closet. Discussed that all blankets, sheets, etc. need to be stored individually in order to avoid cross contamination.

Educator has 2 hours of professional development. She is already in the process of completed additional trainings to bring her to 30 hours for the last 3 years. Discussed that the requirement is 10 hours per year.

Educator was caring for 8 children by herself and none of these children were school aged. Three of those children were also from another program.Then, another Educator brought an additional 2 children to the program, so there were a total of 10 children in the home. Educator is licensed to care for 8 children, 2 of whom have to be school age.
In the basement playroom, there were several cleaners (spray bottles) in the kitchen area, that were accessible to the children.
