922 KAR 2:120. Section 4. Premises Requirements.
General: Based on observation and interview, during the renewal inspection conducted on 11/26/18, the surveyor found the outdoor playground under construction. The fence surrounding the playground was in disrepair. The surveyor found the playground had been under construction since the child-care center opened in September 2017 and therefore, never approved. Furthermore, during the renewal inspection the surveyor found the child-care center does not have a designated indoor space separate from the classroom for gross motor play. Per the plan of correction received from the child-care center dated 12/18/18, installation of the fencing for the outdoor playground had a completion date of 1/31/19. A follow-up inspection conducted on 2/6/19 found the playground still under construction. The staff person in charge stated that due to the delays on the playground construction, the agency had to obtain more bids for the fence.
