Educator’s CPR and First Aid expires today. Educator completed First Aid renewal on 2/28/2024 and is registered for CPR on 3/11/2024. Full time certified assistant, Karen Hazlett CPR and First Aid Aid expire on 3/2024 and is always present.

Children’s records were reviewed. There were five files that did not have the annual update. Two files need parent permission form to administer medication due to allergies signed. One file did not have child’s emergency card signed and dated by parent.
Educator must post list of emergency life saving medications for two children in her program. Discussed how to post and keep children’s information confidential. Posting must be on both floor levels. One of the children’s (REDACTED) is expired and must be renewed immediately.

Allergy action plan for one of the children needs to be signed by the doctor with an updated signature and date.
It was observed that on 4/24/2023 daily attendance records reflected 11 children present. Review of educator’s attendance records consistently reflects compliance in capacity where she has a child that arrives at 12:15pm and has 1-2 children leave the program at 12pm.
File for certified assistant Karen Hazlett was completed. File did not have an updated physical and assistant did not have current CPR and First Aid cards on hand, only letter from instructor that CPR and First Aid had been completed and passed on 3/15/2022. File for regular assistant, Thomas Riley was reviewed. File did not have an updated physical. File for regular assistant, Elaine Mannix was complete.
