Attendance Recording and Group Sizes/Ratios
A review of the daily classroom attendance form indicated that the arrival times of two children were not documented. The licensee must maintain complete and accurate books and records including but not limited to daily attendance records indicating each child’s attendance, including arrival and departure times.
Educator Qualifications and Professional Development
While supervising a group of children in the Toddler/Preschool classroom, the administrator left the assistant teacher alone to answer the door. An assistant teacher must work at all times under the direct supervision of at least a teacher qualified staff person.

The owner stated that food preparation will only be conducted in the kitchen located downstairs. A staff member will be hired to serve meals and clean dishes, bottles and bibs in the kitchen sink only. This person must be included on the staff schedule.
The Background Record Check process has not been completed on the Program Director under this program.
During the visit, staff files were reviewed. The Program Director's file was incomplete. The file did not include a Staff Form, application, verification of 2 references, and documentation of interview date. The Licensor was unable to confirm one educator meets the Minimum Hiring Requirements for teacher. The documentation reviewed did not include verification of work experience. Please submit the educator's qualifications to the EEC Professional Qualification Unit for review. The second staff member is in the process of completing the Cares Course and did not realize that they will need to enroll in a Child Growth & Development (3 credit college course) to maintain teacher qualification. Documentation of the Cares Course and verification of work experience were not available for review. This staff member stated they might remain as an assistant teacher.
Evacuation procedures were not posted next to each exit leading directly outdoors.
The Licensee has requested a preschool grouping but the Building Inspection does not include a preschool grouping or a use group of E. Please work with the local Building Inspector to obtain this grouping on the inspection and resubmit to the library once received.
The toddler and preschool classrooms should include a quiet area that's inviting to the children.
The Staff Record Checklist provided to EEC does not include the required amount of staff needed for the requested capacity of children. The Program Director's full name is not included on the form.
