Authorized staff shall complete training in medication safety and administration every year.
The licensing coordinator's review of five staff files revealed that four staff did not have current medication administration training. Corrective action: 1. The Windham Cooperative Preschool has had all staff members who were missing the administration of medication training under the new rule complete the training. Copies of the completed certificates are attached. 2. Since this is an annual training under the new rule, a task has been added to our January 2027 professional development calendar, added to our January 28th, 2026 teacher workshop agenda, August 2027 teacher workshop agenda, and a reminder has been added to our new hire binder to prompt any new staff member to obtain this training. 3. These trainings will be completed by all staff by 1/22/26. 4. Since receiving the feedback from our License representative, the Director, Business Manager, and three other lead teachers have completed the training to ensure that any potential need for administering medication would have been done so safely. The entire staff was emailed with detailed instructions on what they needed to complete, why we are completing it, and that it will be an annual training requirement moving forward. All staff completed the necessary training to comply with the required trainings.
