The educator did not notified the parents in writing regarding the presence of a new firearm on the premises. Discussed notifying the parents in writing and including a paragraph disclosing this information in the Parent Handbook. Please send pictures of the signed document by current parents and the additional page on the parent handbook for the licensor's review.
The educator reported a new firearm in the home. The educator stated that the firearm is stored in a locked safe in the master bedroom on the second floor of the home. Children have no access to the bedroom. The educator is unsure where the ammunition is stored. The educator stated that the firearm is unloaded. Please ensure that ammunition is stored in a separate locked safe. Please respond with the location of ammunition.
