A review of children’s records showed that the educator needs to obtain signed parental consent acknowledging the presence of a cat in the program due to a child’s documented allergy.
During the visit, it was observed that the educator currently has a child with a documented allergy that was not posted.

The first aid kit was missing medical tape.
The educator washed her hands in the kitchen sink after diaper changing. Discussed a sink that is used for food preparation cannot be used for washing hands after diaper changing.
The educator has relocated climbing equipment in her outdoor play space. There is some ground surfacing, but it does not cover a 6-foot fall zone and the equipment is less than 6 feet from a tree and from other climbing structures.

When the licensor arrived she observed a household member smoking on the premises during childcare hours.
The licensor observed the following: 1st floor kitchen: the cabinet under the sink was not locked and the following were accessible: bleach, resolve, windex, Lysol, floor cleaner, raid and laundry detergent. In an unlocked drawer there were sharp knives and a corkscrew. In another cabinet there was aluminum foil and plastic wrap

A piece of wood that serves as a barrier to prevent children from accessing the space beneath the pool deck was observed to be broken and splintered at the top.
