Reviewed only 23 hours of professional development training for this licensing cycle. The educator must complete and maintain proof (certificates) of 10 hours of professional development training per calendar year. At least one third of the required professional development must address diverse learners. Educator must email the licensor copies of at least 7 more hours of certificates.
First aid kit has outdated Emergency Card pages for the children. Discussed parents re-signing and re-dating the bottom of the pages if no information has changed. Parents can also fill out new forms.
Educator did not have a parent handbook available for review at the time of the visit. Educator will email the licensor a copy of her completed handbook.

Educator has two mobile kits, one for indoors and one for outdoors. Indoor kit includes gloves, Band-aids, gauze, a CPR mouth shield, a digital thermometer with covers, an instant cold pack etc. Five emergency card pages for the children were outdated. Parents must update these pages annually. Discussed parents re-signing and re-dating the bottom if no information has changed.

Above ground pool is not used daycare children.Pool ladder was observed removed and positioned a distance away from the pool. Back deck is not used. Tension gate is needed for the bottom of the deck stairs to prevent children access.

Round stone fire pit in the backyard was not covered and contained sticks. Tarp for the sandbox had a large hole in it and was not on securely.
