This monitoring outside differential licensing cycle visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
The (REDACTED) old was not in direct visual supervision today and it was her first day in care
There is one drawer in the kitchen that requires a lock it has hazards accessible including a lighter
When the licensor arrived she observed a (REDACTED) infant to be in a crib behind a curtain where the educator could not see the infant. This was the infant’s first day. Additionally there were 2 mattresses in the crib. The educator was cited in 2018 for having a (REDACTED)old infant sleeping behind a curtain where she could not be seen

When the licensor arrived the Educator was on the first floor level of the home and the child care children were in the licensed basement space. There was a (REDACTED) who were not placed in a safe location while the educator was not able to maintain direct eye contact with them
Progress Reports
There were hazards observed inside and outside of the home. In the kitchen area the licensed observed hazards included but not limited to: car wax, a wrench, a vacuum, several mops, and a lot of boxes that are limiting the space for children to move around. In the play area there are electrical cords for the fish tank hanging down accessible to the children. There are 4 shelves that are tipping hazards. In the backyard there are hazards included but not limited to: several piles of wood and branches, there was an old rusted jungle gym, an old plastic Thomas the train bed, rakes, bags of trash, an uncovered trash can, an old tire, a tower fan, and the grass was very high and there were branches covering several areas of the yard. The backyard cannot be used to be at this time due to all the hazards

Several of the children need annual updates.
The licensor arrived at the home and was knocking at the door, there was no response for approximately 4-5 minutes. The licensor could see children inside the home in the licensed space through the windows on the door. The educator was upstairs, she initially stated she was talking to her daughter who was working from home, then stated she went upstairs to use the bathroom and then talk to her daughter
The bathroom did not have an individual way for the children to wash their hands. They were all using the same towel.
