1:1 Therapists / BRC
It was reported at the time of the visit that 1:1 therapists assigned to children enrolled at the program were not Background Record Checked by the program through EEC. Therapists met with children individually and without supervision by a BRC'd staff member. The above excludes {REDACTED} therapy. Additionally, one of the BRC's for a program staff member was not documented within the EEC BRC Navigator and / or Manager Systems.
EEC observed the following potential hazards to children at the time of the visit: {REDACTED}: Electrical cords plugged into the wall outlets were longer than 6 inches and within reach of children. Plungers were within reach of children as they were positioned next to the toilets in thechild bathrooms. Several of the inspected bathrooms had uncovered trash receptacles. one of the wooden sensory table covers was splintered at the edges.
