Handwashing
A review of children present files was completed. There were three files that were missing the physical description section box on the first page of the enrollment packet. One file was missing parent signature and date for parental visit section of the enrollment packet.
First aid kit was missing copy of children’s emergency cards.
One file was missing child’s current individualized healthcare plan.
It was observed that one child washed their hands in the kitchen sink after using the potty chair. It was reviewed with the educator that areas used for hand washing after diapering or toileting must be separate from areas used for food preparation and food consumption.
This monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
Educator has not completed her yearly ongoing professional development trainings. The new EEC Essentials 2.0 were discussed as well as other available trainings through Strongstart platform.

Educator did not have required posting for children with allergies and medications. Technical assistance was given regarding posting.
There was access to peeling paint within the outdoor space.

It was observed that the educator had a small tikes slide in the lower level playroom. The structure measures 17 inches and is set up on carpet. Educator indicated she believes structure is meant for use indoors. Educator will be sending structure information to the licensor for the FCC supervisor to review. It was indicated to the educator that the structure can be placed outdoors without use of ground surfacing. The educator did forward the description of the structure and it was determined this structure is meant for outdoor use only. This structure is not approved for indoor use.
Indoor Space - free of hazards
Random review of children’s files was completed. It was observed that there were two files that indicated children have allergies and have prescribed medications, files did not have individualized healthcare plans (allergy action plan) as required. Files were also observed to not have the annual update as required. Annual update form will be emailed to the educator.
First aid kit did not have CPR mouthguard and two of the emergency cards needed an updated signature date.
White toy shelf in lower level was easily moveable.
There was access to a ladder.
