Porches and Decks
It was observed that the educator was on the deck with four children. The deck is only approved as a means of egress and not as play space. If educator wants to utilize deck for activity space educator must ensure barrier all around measures at least 4 feet tall and there must be a permanent gate installed at the top of the stairs.

Regular assistant, could not provide proof of current CPR and First Aid. Discussed with assistant that current CPR and First Aid is required when alone with children, as was the case today.
Assistant was not able to locate most recent progress reports.

Educator’s parent handbook was reviewed. Parent handbook has incorrect regional office information and does not include information regarding educator’s licensed capacity and information for approved assistant.
Staff Records
James Greenhalgh is an approved regular assistant. Educator only utilizes assistant when needed. Assistant file did not have an up to date physical on file.
