The certified assistant, Parwati was alone with six children of which four were under the age of 2 years old. Regulations prohibit for an educator to be alone with more than three children under the age of 2 years old.
It was observed that both educators went upstairs to the firs floor for about 2-3 minutes, while there were four children downstairs in the basement playroom. It was reviewed with the educator that the educator must not go between floors and must remain on the same floor level as children. It was also discussed with the educator that in having two educators present there needed to be better judgment in managing appropriate supervision.
