There are currently 5 children enrolled in the program. Of these, 2 just recently started (within the last month) and do not yet need a progress report, 1 report was complete and up to date, and the other 2 reports were overdue.
Heating Safety - Heating sources
There is a gas stove in the kitchen/living room area, which needs to be gated and made inaccessible.
Licensor inspected all of the licensed, indoor space during the renewal visit. The following hazards were observed: ** LIVINGROOM - although the gas stove is not used during childcare hours, it still needs to be gated and made inaccessible ** KITCHEN - no hazards ** PLAYROOM - no hazards ** LEGO ROOM - tall shelving unit is a tipping hazard ** COMPUTER ROOM - no hazards ** MUDROOM - no hazards ** BEDROOM - no hazards ** BATHROOM - no hazards

All of the other required items were observed in the first aid kit. However, some of the emergency contact forms were out of date and need to be updated.

Licensor randomly reviewed 5 of the children's records. Of these, 4 were complete and up to date, and the other 1 was only missing a signature on Pg. 3 of the enrollment packet, under Receipt of the Parent Handbook.

For the most part, the licensed indoor space was free of hazards. The space was well lit and properly ventilated and good care was taken to ensure the children could be properly supervised. The only hazard that Licensor observed was in the computer room, the trash did not have a cover.
Educator has an area for the children to hang their bags and coats when they enter the program. Licensor discussed with Educator the need to ensure that the coats are not touching each other, in order to avoid cross contamination.
