Infection Control/Hand Washing
During the health and safety inspection of the Infant Classroom, the following was observed: The Educator did not ensure that the changing diaper surfaces were washed with both soap and water and disinfected as needed to maintain a sanitary environment.

During the safety inspection on the program's playground, the following was found: 1) Multiple pieces on the building sliding were peeling or flaking. 2) On the Infant/Toddler play the bottom of the downspout had sharp edge creating a potential hazard for children.

At the time of the visit, one child's IHCP in the Preschool One classroom expired on 5/22/2023.
During the program's safety inspection, the following was found: 1) Multiple shelves, bookcases, and dramatic play equipment needed to be secured. 2) Multiple Foam Climber Pieces were ripping and worn out. 3) The material of the room divider in Get Set Two Classroom was peeling off, causing a potential hazard for children. 4) Peeling/chipping paint and exposed drywall were found in Preschool One Classroom.

The spacing between the playground fencing and the ground was too large in some areas, creating an entrapment hazard. The playground surfacing was cracking and torn, causing a potential tripping hazard. The Director reports that the surfacing has been scheduled to be repaired.

Emergency medications readily available
The following was observed during the visit: 1) The Get Set 1/2 Classroom educators did not wash their hands between changing multiple children's diapers.
Multiple children's emergency medications were not readily available at the time of the visit. The emergency medication was left inside while the children were on the playground.
