General: Based on interview, the child care center failed to maintain state regulations. On 6/12/23 it was found that a child in care removed a vaping device (marijuana) from his backpack and took a hit off of it while in the hallway after snack. This behavior directly effected the health, safety, and comfort of the other children attending the program.
General: Based on review of documentation, this regulatory requirement was not met. A staff member hired on 2/26/2021, did not complete the fifteen cabinet-approved early care and education training hours. The ECE-TRIS system was reviewed and confirmed this finding. General: Based on review of documentation, this regulatory requirement was not met. A staff member hired on 8/31/2020, did not have evidence of submission or results of a child abuse and neglect check or a sexual offender registry check on file from New Jersey. The KARES background check indicated that the staff member lived in New Jersey from 2005- 2020.
