The program director shall ensure that the number of staff present meets requirements described in the chart below for ages of children, maximum group size, and staff/child ratios at any time of day.
During interviews, staff members indicated there were six (6) children ages two(2) to three(3) years old with one (1) staff member. The program director stated that the second staff member assigned to that room had left the building for lunch. The staff schedule reflected that the staff had been absent for 34 minutes. The ratio for this age group is five (5) children to one (1) staff. This is a serious violation.
