Parent Handbook
Educator has created her own parent handbook which includes information on hours, late fees, supplies, holidays, toilet training, illness, termination, etc. EEC required information is missing such as safe sleep policy, mandated reporting, plan for meeting potential emergencies, etc. Discussed the educator adding any missing information found in the EEC parent handbook to her handbook. The educator will email a copy of the completed EEC handbook to the licensor for review.

Exit signs are hanging on the doors. Plan for meeting potential emergencies is missing in the parent handbook.
Long metal poles and pieces of wood observed on the ground at the bottom of the deck stairs.
The educator was missing 25 hours of professional development training for this licensing cycle. The educator must complete and maintain proof (certificates) of 10 hours of professional development training per calendar year. At least one third of the required professional development must address diverse learners. The educator will email the licensor certificates as proof of completion.

Progress Reports
Progress reports are due to be completed. These reports must be completed every three months for infants and children with special needs, every six months for toddlers and preschoolers, and once a year for school aged children (5 years and older).

Emergency contact forms for the children must be updated in the first aid kit. These forms must be updated annually by the parents. FIrst aid kit appears to be complete. Educator has purchased a touchless thermometer.

Educator uses the EEC evacuation log. Educator has not conducted a fire drill since reopening.
Four children's files were reviewed. The [REDACTED] enrollment packets were last signed in March of 2019. [REDACTED] have an appointment [REDACTED]. Parents will need to fill out new enrollment packets or sign the Annual Update form.
Bathroom cabinet had a child safety lock that the educator locked during the visit. Observed a burning candle on the kitchen counter.
Large fenced in play space on the side of the home. Playhouses, ride on toys, covered sandboxes. No large play structures installed. Deck is used for exit only. Gate to a hot tub off the deck is not locked. Discussed installing a padlock on the gate latch.
Space (indoor / outdoor hazards) - R Apr 2025
CPR and First aid certification were not available for review. Educator must send licensor written proof of current certification in both. CPR is valid for one year and first aid for two years according to EEC regulations.
Bathroom cabinet under the sink was not locked and contains hazards. Stairs to the second floor were not gated when licensor arrived. Stairs must be securely gated at the bottom whenever children under the age of three are present. Educator locked cabinet and secured gate during the visit.
