The following was observed during the visit: In NORTON 2, six ceiling tiles were stained and a Christmas tree was sitting on a shelf and unsecure.
During the visit, Norton 2 was out of ratio for approximately a minute. Licensor observed one educator leave the classroom with three children while the second educator was reading a book to eleven children. The program must maintain accurate attendance, staff child ratio, and appropriate group size at all times.

Three staff records were reviewed during the visit and found: One staff record is missing bi-monthly observations. The last observation was found is dated 4/16/2025.
The following was observed to be accessible to children: In Norton 2, a corner protector was missing from one of the low wooden shelves next to the circle area and the corner is sharp.
In Norton 2, one of the open windows had a window screen that had a tear. All windows used for ventilation must include screens in good repair.

The evacuation procedures were missing from the door that leads from Norton 2 to Norton 1.
The First Aid Kit was observed and found a CPR mouth guard is needed. Scissors were available in the bus in another location. Licensor recommends a pair of scissors be placed inside the First Aid Kit so they are always with those materials.

The following was observed to connected to the outside of the building a few feet high off of the ground: a metal bracket with two pointy edges and rust.

Three staff records were reviewed and found: -One staff record is missing evidence of completion of the EEC Essentials trainings.
The following was found to be accessible to children: -In the first multi-stall BATHROOM, loose trash bags were in the cabinet under the left hand sink. Loose bags are a suffocation hazard.
Equipment is clean, safe, secured, and poses no hazard.
Playground free from hazards; fenced if applicable
The following was observed to be accessible to children: -In PRESCHOOL 1 and PRESCHOOL 2 there were ceiling tiles with water stains. -In the second bathroom, there were plastic grocery bags accessible to children, under the sink cabinet. -In the hallway to the playground, a boat/ bridge was on edge and tippable. In addition, the bucket of rock salt was open and accessible to children. -In PRESCHOOL 4 there was a pack of open Ziploc bags on a low shelf, accessible to children and rust on the chain at the filing cabinet. The broom was also reclining against the wall, creating a potential trip hazard for children.
The following was observed inside the playground area outside: An open garbage bag of trash in the playground.

This renewal - monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.

The Building Inspection is current (expires 12/31/2023) and the Fire Inspection is expired (quarterly, last issued 1/5/2023).
The following was found to be accessible to children: -In CLASSROOM 2, two of the walls have holes the size of a pencil eraser and plaster is visible. One hole is located to the right of the word wall and the other is located under the window on the left in the kitchen area.
