The amount of awake time children under twenty-four (24) months of age spend in any confining equipment, such as a crib, playpen, port-a-crib, swing, or seat shall be limited to less than thirty (30) minutes in any two (2) hour period.

An infant was in an exersaucer at 9:55am when the licensor entered the classroom for observation. After 15 minutes, the infant had their diaper changed, was placed back into the exersaucer and was then put directly into a bouncy seat a few minutes later. The infant was still in the bouncy seat at 10:35am when the observation ended. Infants may not be kept in confining equipment for more than 30 minutes in a two-hour period.
