Ensure that staff utilize positive methods of guidance and discipline and do not withhold food, emotional responses, stimulation, or opportunities for rest or sleep as a form of discipline in room 2. At the time of the inspection the teacher in the classroom was observed not utilizing positive methods of guidance and was using punitive statements to redirect the children.
Ensure that all staff complete orientation training within two weeks of hire and annually.
Complete and maintain on file, a current Staff Records Checklist designated by OOL.
Ensure that all outdoor equipment is sturdy, safe, free of hazards and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. At the time of the inspection an indoor trampoline was located in the outdoor playground. This was corrected onsite.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and in good repair including the ceiling tile in the bathroom in the main hallway and in the bathroom in room 1.
Ensure that diapering surfaces are flat, smooth, clean, dry, non-absorbent and in good repair in the main bathroom.
