Children shall be encouraged to try all foods, but shall not be required to try or to eat any food before they are served other food components or additional servings, or before they are allowed to be done with their meal or snack.
The licensing coordinator's observation that there was breastmilk that was not labeled with the child's name in the refrigerator of Classroom Two. Corrective action: After LC's observation, staff labeled breast milk present in freezer. A reminder was also sent to families re: labeling all food/breast milk before being placed in classroom fridge. Staff will continue to check the fridge and freezer daily, to ensure all items are labeled and dated. At our next staff meeting, on March 19, 2024, we will check in on this process and procedure, and highlight to all staff on site.
