This Statement of Findings includes a repeat citation for He-C 4002.23 (c), which constitutes failure to comply with one approved corrective action plan, as noted herein. This will remind them to remove all hand sanitizers from the table in the cafeteria.

Child care staff shall ensure that potentially harmful items, including but not limited to matches, lighters, chemicals, materials labeled “harmful if swallowed,” flammable materials, sharp objects, and staffs’ personal belongings are locked or inaccessible to children.

The licensing coordinator observed four bottles of hand sanitizer accessible to children on a table in the cafeteria. A review of department records revealed the program received a similar citation during a renewal visit completed on December 14, 2021, and provide a corrective action plan that stated, “Staff have been reminded that all cleaning products are to be stored in the highest possible place to ensure they are kept out of reach of children.” Corrective action: The program was given a "reminder sign" that has been put into their attendance binder. Moving forward, staff will see this sign daily before taking attendance. This will remind them to remove all hand sanitizers from the table in the cafeteria.

Prior to employment or residency, as applicable, and every 5 years thereafter, all child care staff, substitutes, other employees, and volunteers who may be alone with children or are included in staff to child ratios, and household members age 10 years or older, shall submit for a background record check using NH Connections.
