The licensing coordinator was unable to review the written record of fire drills because it was not on file at the program. Corrective action: New Director started and has implemented scheduling fire drills once a month moving forward.
REPEAT CITATION PREVIOUSLY CITED ON OCTOBER 9, 2025. The licensing coordinator observed that staff belongings were accessible to children on the floor in the Preschool 3A Classroom. Staff immediately moved their belongings to a location inaccessible to the children. The program previously corrected non-compliance with this rule during a monitoring visit completed on October 9, 2025. Corrective action: At an all-staff meeting leaving belongings out was brought up. All staff have a designated spot to put their belongings out of reach of children

The licensing coordinator’s review of the staff roster in the NHCIS portal revealed that there were four staff listed as active on the roster who were no longer employed by the program. Corrective action: Staff roster has been updated in the portal. We will continue to update as staff leave or are hired as new going forward.
The licensing coordinator's review of the fire drill log revealed the program did not conduct a fire drill in January, February, or April 2025 when monthly drills were required. Corrective action: The admin team reviewed the fire drill requirements and will be extra vigilant to conduct monthly fire drills throughout the school year. We reviewed fire drill and other emergency drill requirements at our staff meeting on 10/16/25. We have already conducted three fire drills in September, ensuring all classes have practiced, and one for October. Monthly fire drills will be conducted every month school is in session, a reminder has been scheduled.
The licensing coordinator’s review of five staff files revealed Staff A did not complete training in child development within their first 90 days of employment, Staff B did not complete training in the prevention and response to emergencies due to food or other allergic reactions within their first 90 days of employment, and Staff C completed 12 hours of professional development in 2024, rather than the 18 hours required by He-C 4002.33(f), in effect from April 21, 2022, through September 21, 2025. Corrective action: The admin team has reviewed all of the staff files. The staff that have missing certificates from the required NH health and safety training have been notified and will complete the missing required training by Nov. 10, 2025. The admin team added a new section to our staff files to include the required NH Health and safety trainings to be completed within the first 90 days of employment, this will ensure all required trainings are completed within the appropriate time frame. To ensure compliance moving forward, all staff files will include all PD trainings completed on file for review. In further review of the PD hours we found one lead teacher that had all 18 hours completed with one of the certificates confirming 6 hours of PD. I’m wondering if this certificate was missed when counting the PD hours. I was unable to find a lead teacher with only 12 hours completed.
This renewal visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
The licensing coordinator observed that the hot water temperature at the hand washing sinks in the bathrooms used by the children exceeded 120 degrees. Corrective action: We recently had a new water heater installed by Ferris Plumbing. I called Ferris while the licensor was still in our building and scheduled a follow up appointment for the following day. Ferris plumbing came at 8:00 am the next morning, 10/10/25 and adjusted the temp to not heat over 118 degrees.
The licensing coordinator’s review of the daily child attendance records revealed, on the day of the visit, one child was not signed in when they arrived in the Two’s A Classroom. Corrective action: One child arrived late, when licensor was already in the room talking with the classroom teachers. Admin reviewed sign in/out procedures during our staff meeting on 10/16/25. All students are required to be signed in immediately after arrival at the program.
The licensing coordinator observed that, in the outdoor play space, a climbing structure with a fall height of at least 54 inches, a rock climber with a fall height of 38 inches, and a slide with a fall height of 34 inches, did not have the required amount of energy absorptive material under and extending at least 39 inches beyond the external limit of the structure. Corrective action: The pea gravel on the playground has been raked from the edges of the playground back into place near the structures mentioned. We will ensure there is always at least the required 9 inches of pea gravel under the fall zones mentioned and extending at least 39 inches beyond the external limit of the structure. We will also order a delivery of pea gravel in the spring as soon as the snow melts, this will ensure we have plenty of energy absorptive material in all required areas moving forward.
