Licensees shall have and implement written policies regarding: The provision of meals and snacks, including when parents or guardians fail to send meals or snacks from home if the program does not provide meals or snacks.
The licensing coordinator's review of the program's policies revealed they did not have a written policy regarding the provision of meals or snacks when a child does not have them. Corrective action: The policy has been re-written in our Family Handbook. It reads as follows, "When lunch or snack is unavailable or inedible, staff will reach out to parents/guardians via BrightWheel to drop off a substitute. If the parent/guardian is unavailable, a school lunch or snack will be provided. We will check that each child has a snack and lunch and will keep extra non-perishable food in the kitchen. The citation as corrected on May 26, 2026. We alerted all staff that we have non-perishable food in the kitchen if a child does not have a snack or lunch and the parent/guardian is not available to bring a replacement.
