Any contaminated, expired, or discontinued medication, whether prescription or over-the-counter, and topical substances shall be returned to the child’s parents or guardians whenever possible or, if belonging to the program, disposed of properly by authorized staff.
The licensing coordinator observed one expired Neosporin and one expired Benadryl Itch Relief in the program. Corrective action: Items were thrown away 3/20/26. The same day replacement items were purchased and updated in the first aid kit. In the future, the Site Director will monitor expiration dates on a monthly basis.”
