Outdoor Playspace - Hazards
Educator utilizes the fenced in back yard as the children's outdoor playspace. there is a gap between the bottom of the fence and the ground, in multiple locations, that is an entrapment hazard. This gap needs to be made smaller. No other hazards were observed outside.
Space (health risks) - 1
All of the required items were observed in the first aid kit. Licensor tested the smoke detector in the playroom and it worked appropriately. Licensor then tested the carbon monoxide detector in the basement and it did not work.
Licensor was able to inspect all of the licensed space during the virtual visit. For the most part, there were no visible hazards. In the kitchen, there was a knife block on the counter. Educator is aware that it will need to be moved before the program reopens and stated she will do that. In the Second Room in the basement (the new room), there shelving units that need to be anchored to the wall as they are currently a tipping hazard.
Indoor Space - free of hazards
