Building Inspection and Fire Inspection - R Apr 2025
The program does not have evidence of a current Building and Fire Inspection certificate. During the visit, the Assistant Director stated that the program has reached out to the town about scheduling an appointment.
A walk through of the outdoor playground during the visit indicated the following: -The grey structure with blue slide appears to have chipped/peeling paint on the ladder. The structure itself does not have a manufacturer label on it indicating the age usage for the structure. -There is not an adequate depth of safety surfacing around swings, geodome, monkey bars, and two climbing structures. During the visit, the Assistant Director stated that the program is planning on having mulch delivered for this purpose during the upcoming holiday break.
A review of medication stored at the program indicated that one child's prescribed medication was not in its originally dispensed container with affixed prescription label.

A review of the BRC Navigator system indicates that two educators in the program have a pending determination in the BRC Navigator. One educator had their fingerprints processed on 10/6/22. Another educator received a fingerprinting letter on 10/31/22 and is in the process of scheduling an appointment to be fingerprinted for their BRC renewal.
The Building Inspection Certificate expired on 2/9/22. The Fire Inspection was conducted on 2/10/21. During the visit, the Head of School stated the Building and Fire Inspectors are scheduled for a visit today, 11/4/22.

Upon a walk through of the facility, there were adult scissors located in the kitchen drawer accessible to children. This was corrected during the visit by the Director.
