Attendance rosters do not provide in and out times. Attendance should be maintained noting a child's time in and out each day.
1. Two infants were placed at the table for feeding without having had their hands washed beforehand. 2. The table had been used for computer work prior to the meal and had not been cleaned prior to placing a child's finger foods on it.
This investigation inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
The Fire Inspection posted in the program, expired on 9/26/2024.
Building Inspection and Fire Inspection
During the visit, an educator in the Toddler/Preschool was asked about the classroom's daily attendance. The educator stated that attendance is lower on Mondays and Fridays. The educator stated that attendance is typically 10 children on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The maximum group size for a toddler/preschool mixed group is 9 children.
Indoor Space
During the visit, it was learned that the infants do not go outside daily, weather permitting. The licensee must have evidence of a plan describing how program activities support and engage children through specific learning experiences. Such a plan must be appropriate to the ages and development of the children served, to the length of the program day, and to the program objectives, including at least 60 minutes of physical activity in full-day programs.
A review of the program's Practice Fire Drill log indicated that the log did not include the route taken during the practice drills.
At the time of the visit three staff files were reviewed and the following was found: one file was incomplete and was missing most of the required documents.
Some of the cribs had fitted sheets that were far too loose for the mattresses being used. Infants were not sleeping in the cribs at the time of the visit. Please replace all loose cribs sheets with ones that appropriately fit the mattresses being used.

The program director stated that evacuation drills were being conducted on a monthly basis however they were not being logged anywhere. Evacuation drills must be conducted and logged on a monthly basis.
This capacity increase visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.

The licensee stated that she has not conducted bi-monthly observations, as required.
Not all sippy cups were labeled with the name of the child for whom it is intended.
Two staff records were reviewed; one did not have evidence of a current physical exam, or immunity to MMR, and there was not a completed program orientation.

The Licensee was not on the premises during the visit to allow the licensor to review children's files while onsite. The Licensee was asked to send the requested documentation to the licensor via email for review. The children's files were reviewed and the following was noted: One child's First Aid/Emergency Medical Consent Form, Transportation Form, Off Site Consent and Developmental History Form were not current. The forms was signed & dated by the parent on 9/19/23. Two children's files were missing a current physical and Lead screening date. The licensor was not able to review the Enrollment forms for all three files. All three files sent did not include a progress report.
The Licensee was not on the premises during the visit to allow the licensor to review staff files while onsite. The Licensee was asked to send the requested documentation to the licensor via email for review. The following was noted: One file did not include a current physical. Two files did not include evidence of immunity to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella. One file included certification of First Aid & CPR online. There was no evidence evidence showing the staff demonstrated skills to a certified instructor. One file did not include documentation of the 12 EEC Essentials Trainings. Documented observations of staff while working with the children were not provided. Three files did not include verification of work experience showing the educators are qualified for the position they hold.
In the Toddler/Preschool Classroom, open packages of Cheerios and Goldfish were observed in a cabinet and not stored in a sealed container or Ziploc bag.
The following was observed in the Toddler/Preschool Classroom during the visit. Plastic pouches of diaper wipes and a plastic bag of changing pads were observed on a shelf under the changing table and accessible to the children. There were four holes observed in the diaper changing pad.
During the visit, EEC observed 7 cribs in the Infant/Toddler Classroom. The Licensee stated that they usually only have 7 infants in the group. The additional two spaces are used for toddlers if needed. The maximum group size for an infant/toddler mixed group is 9 children, with no more than 3 infants in the group.
During the visit, a teacher in the Infant/Toddler Classroom was observed changing a child's diaper and then placing the child back into the group without washing the child's hands with soap and running water. The teacher did wash the child's hands after being reminded of the regulation by EEC.
Sink Spaces
There was not a refrigerator thermometer in the refrigerator.
The Licensee stated that the program has not practiced emergency evacuation drills since opening.
In an unlocked locker, accessible to children, was plastic bags.
There is not a separate sink for hand washing after diapering.
