Emergency Evacuation
During the visit, the toddler classroom lacked sufficient materials and equipment. One shelving unit was empty, and the quiet area was not inviting for children.

During the visit, snow blocked one of the exits and evacuation route at the toddler classroom door. The licensee must ensure all exits and evacuation routes remain clear at all times.
Nutrition and Food Service
While observing in the toddler classroom, educators set up cots and bedding instead of engaging with and assisting the children during lunchtime. The Licensing Specialist addressed this concern, prompting one of the educators to sit with the children to ensure they were adequately supervised. The Director was also reminded to ensure the children received adequate food.
Staff Observations
Staff interact with and assist children during snack and mealtimes.
While observing in the toddler classroom, snack items were unavailable for a child whose parents did not send enough food from home. According to EEC regulations, the licensee is required to have a system in place to ensure that nutritious food is provided to children whose parents do not send meals or snacks from home.
During the visit, there was no written documentation of educators being observed working with children at least once every two months.
