Although the Program Administrator reported that the program was currently working with the Medfield public school, there was no evidence of a current building and fire inspection as required by regulation.
There was not documented written evidence to support that the program conducted monthly fire drills (in the 2024-2025 school year) as required by regulation.

Two staff records were randomly selected for review and one new educator did not have evidence of a current physical within one year as required.
During the visit it was learned that the program is not conducting monthly fire drills as required, posing a potential hazard to children.

During a review of the program's indoor space, the following was observed: 1) there was chipped paint throughout the program 2) there was chipped paint on the outside of the building, accessible to children 3) there was a chipped tile leading into the upstairs kitchen space, creating a tripping hazard 4) Not all "tippable" shelves were secured as required 5) there were two holes in the wall in the downstairs space, with exposed wall board 6) there was a stained ceiling tile in the "library" area 7) the downstairs storage closet, labelled "staff only" that contained cleaning chemicals was unlocked, accessible to children
It was observed that on the outside of the building and on the ramp leading to the outside there was chipping paint, exposed to children.
Chipped paint was observed in the door frame of the upstairs classroom, and a stained ceiling tile was observed downstairs near the lockers.

At the time of the visit, the brown rug (in the room just off the second floor art room) was observed to be dirty. Chipping paint was observed to be in the reach of children on the outside of the building where children access the program and by the outside driveway space.
At the time of the visit, the program had a building inspection and a fire inspection that expired 9/19.
