During the review of the staff records, it was learned that one staff file was missing the following: An application or resume, interview of reference check, date of hire, verification of MMR, verification of a physical.
On the day of the visit the licensor observed several teacher child interactions where the teachers talked over the children, contributing to increase volume in the classroom. In addition an educator told a child that he could either do the activity that was happening or go sit in a chair. Child guidance practices were not always supportive, nurturing and responsive to children's needs.
On the day of the visit, it was observed that the daily schedule included three large group, teacher directed activities that did not allow for children to make alternative choices. The amount of time children were sitting was not developmentally appropriate for all children.
On the day of the visit, the list of allergies, medical information, special diet, emergency medications, was not posted in a manner accessible to educators, but protected in a manner that protects the privacy of each child. Not all required children's information was posted.
On the day of the visit, there was a child enrolled that had a chronic health condition, but did not have an Individual Health Care Plan (IHCP), on site.
On the day of the visit it was observed that a staff member was making sandwiches on the counter that had clutter on both sides of the area that lunch was being prepared.
