Educator has an Evacuation Log. A fire drill was documented every month, except for September. Educator added the drill for that month during the visit. Also, the date that the drill was conducted was not written in for any month January thru August.
All of the required items were observed in the 1st aid kit, except for tweezers.
INCOMPLETE IN PARENT HANDBOOK. NO PLAN FOR MISSING CHILD OR AN ALTERNATE MEETIN PLACE FOR WIDESPRESAD EMERGENCY Educator currently has an incomplete emergency contingency plan. An alternate location, outside of Educator's neighborhood, needs to be added for a more widespread emergency.
There is 1 dog in the home. Educator reported that the dog has all vaccines. However, the dog is not licensed through the town.
All of the required items were observed in the first aid kit, except medical tape.
Licensor inspected all of the licensed, indoor space during the progress visit, as well as the outdoor playspace. The only hazard that was observed was in the napping room. There was an outlet that was not covered.

The thermometer was in the freezer. There was no thermometer in the fridge during the visit. Educator moved the thermometer to the fridge, but Licensor was not able to get an accurate reading during the visit. The temperature in the fridge is required to be between 32F - 40F degrees.

The majority of children are newly enrolled in the program and not due for progress reports yet. There are 4 children returning, and all of these progress reports were overdue.

Licensor reviewed 6 of the children’s records and they all had a complete and up to date progress report, except for one.
Outdoor Playspace - Hazards
Educator has an up to date evacuation log. A fire drill has been completed every month. However, the last column, the effectiveness of drill, is blank for every drill. Please ensure that this column is completed every month.
The Emergency Preparedness plan that is written in the parent handbook is missing a plan for if a child goes missing and also a plan of where to go if the neighborhood needs to be evacuated.
All of the required items were observed in the first aid kit, except for the instant cold pack.
The water temperature was 130F degrees. According to regulations, this temperature needs to be 120F degrees or below.
Licensor inspected all of the licensed, indoor space during the renewal visit. The only hazard was in the nap room. There is a utility closet with paint and other hazards, which is accessible to the children. This closet needs to be made inaccessible.
One section of the outdoor play space is covered in pea stones, which is considered a choking hazard for children under 2 years. The pea stones need to be made inaccessible to children under 2. No other hazards were observed outside.
Licensor reviewed 3 of the children's records and none of them had any progress reports. Educator states she is in the process of completing the progress reports now.

One section of the outdoor play area fence was open allowing children to leave the fenced in area and go into the backyard. Discussed moving the play area and installing a more permanent fence on the other side of the home.
