During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 26 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 26 of the 26 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. 33-9: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 employee did not have documentation that the safe sleep training was completed within 30 days of their hire date. 35-12 · Communicable Disease Control
During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 employee that did not have documentation that the facilitys exposure plan was reviewed before they started working. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6 There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. Personnel are required to be educated on the facility's exposure plan regarding standard precautions before beginning to work and annually thereafter. Written documentation that child care personnel have participated in the facility's annual refresher education for the exposure plan and understand the proper procedures in the event there is exposure to blood, and potentially infectious fluids must be retained for 12 months and be available for licensing to review (CCF Handbook, p. 53)

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 4.1 Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. During the time of inspection, the Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 28 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 28 of the 28 employee records. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the licensing counselor seen one personnel did not finish their DCF training hours. The director advised that the staff member failed an exam, and has it rescheduled for July 17th, 2024. The provider has until July 30th to come into compliance with this standard. During the reinspection, CCR observed that one personnel was put on Administrative leave beginning on 2/8/23 until she finishes her classes and one personnel is retaking two exam on the 14th of April, 2023.
