On April 17, 2023, a complaint was called into the Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line and not accepted for investigation by the Institutional Abuse Unit (IAU). The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received the complaint on April 17, 2023, and accepted it for improper discipline. An investigation began on April 17, 2023, and ended on May 3, 2023. This complaint is substantiated for improper discipline because two of the children interviewed stated they had observed a specific staff member improperly discipline children. An additional concern is a child disclosed to two staff that a staff member had choked him, and neither of the staff contacted the Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line to report the suspected child abuse.
Disposition: Substantiated
