A complaint was received on August 19, 2021, regarding concerns about a staff member throwing a child across the room by her shirt. A follow-up complaint was received from the Division of Family Services on September 1, 2021, confirming video surveillance showed Staff #1 throwing Child #1 across the room. At the conclusion of an investigation and receipt of this information, this complaint is substantiated for not using positive behavior management.

A complaint was received on September 2, 2021, regarding concerns about sanitation/handwashing procedures, and the absence of the administrator at the center. At the conclusion of an investigation conducted on September 17, 2021, this complaint is substantiated for the administrator not being present at least 60% of the hours of operation during the month of August and September. There was no evidence to substantiate the children not following proper handwashing procedures within the center due to observations and a staff member s statements.
