The Office of Child Care Licensing received a complaint on July 17, 2023, regarding a lack of respectful communication, staff refusing to provide the owner s contact information to a parent, and concerns regarding indoor classroom environment. An investigation was begun on July 18, 2023, and concluded on July 20, 2023. This complaint is substantiated for concerns regarding classroom environment because it was observed classrooms did not have the required, clearly defined activity areas with sufficient related equipment. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for refusing to provide a parent with the owner s contact information as the owner stated his contact information was provided to the parent on the date it was requested. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for a lack of respectful communication because the administrator and another staff member who was present both denied the allegations. The owner spoke to the concerned parent by telephone and the children continue to be enrolled at the center.
