On May 1, 2025, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint expressing concern over the program s failure to follow its own Parent Handbook policies regarding termination of care. An investigation was conducted via telephone on May 14, 2025, to investigate the complaint. Based on the findings, the complaint is substantiated. Although the program issued a letter to Parent #1 indicating the facility was giving five days notice of intent to terminate care if late pickups continued, the facility continued to allow the child to attend for several weeks, then terminated the child s enrollment immediately following one additional late pick-up. The parent handbook does not include a clear procedure for termination due to repeated late pickups and instead outlines the use of late fees as the consequence for such occurrences.
