Ensure every exit, exit access, and exit discharge is free of obstruction at all times. A large shelf was placed in front of the door leading into classroom 3 from the hallway. Upon discussion, staff stated the shelf is placed there so that a particular child cannot escape the classroom. This specialist provided technical assistance and suggested a staff person position themselves at the door to monitor it at all times. This was discussed with staff and corrected when they agreed to comply in the future.
