Authorized staff shall complete training in medication safety and administration every year.

The licensing coordinator's review of three staff files revealed Staff A and Staff B, whom are authorized to administer medication, did not completed the training in medication safety and administration in 2025. Corrective action: Over the weekend and on Monday 4/13/26 Staff A and Staff B completed medication administration training to be in compliance with the requirement of HE-C 4002.20(g). We will make sure all staff who could administer medication takes medication administration training yearly during our week of training in August each year before the start of our preschool year, always allowing we are in compliance.

Program managers shall ensure that for each child there is a “Child Care Registration and Emergency Information” (August 2025) form, completed by the parent or guardian, or an equivalent form on file on the child’s first day in attendance.

The licensing coordinator's review of eight child files revealed that two of the children's registration and emergency information forms were not the equivalent of the September 2025 form, as the forms were missing the required statement under He-C 4002.10(c). Corrective action: Children enrolled in September 2025; I had them all fill out the September 2025 updated form. These two children started in January 2026, and I did not realize they did not have the most updated registration forms. I have since printed out only the current registration forms from September 2025 to use, and I have checked all other files again to make sure no one else is not in compliance. I did on the day of the licensors visit have the parents of one of the children sign their form updating the required statement under He-C 4002.10(c)to make it in compliance. The other family was on vacation until today 4/16/2026, they signed their form updating the required statement under He-C 4002.10(c). I cannot update these forms as proof, since it would violate confidentiality for these families. The licensor is welcome to come back and check.
