In addition to program managers, all child care staff who are responsible for the supervision of children, or who are necessary for the staff to child ratios, shall have on file documentation of completion of training in accordance with (b) below, which shall: Be completed within 90 days of the first date of employment.
The licensing coordinator's review of four staff files revealed that two staff did not complete the health and safety training regarding the "prevention of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma" within 90 days of hire. Corrective action: The two staff members completed the Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma. Their Training certificates have been uploaded. I updated our SCS Licensing Tracking From with the Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma Training to ensure all staff complete the Training within the 90 Days of hire. I also have added the training to our SCS Employee Tracking Spreadsheet to ensure all staff have completed the training.
