All center directors, agency administrators, site coordinators, or site directors, and all other child care staff who are responsible for the supervision of children, or who are necessary for the staff to child ratios, shall keep on file documentation of completion of a minimum of 6 hours of professional development, which shall be completed in accordance with the following: (1) Within 90 days of the first date of employment; (2) Within 2 weeks for programs operating 3 months of the year or less; or (3) By providing documentation of previous completion.
REPEAT CITATION PREVIOUSLY CITED ON JANUARY 4, 2023. The licensing coordinator's review of four staff files revealed that Staff A did not complete the minimum of 6 hours of professional development within 90 days of the first date of employment. Corrective action: I will be more intentional and thorough with following up on the training requirements for all staff members. I have created a chart, and I have directed staff to follow it, but will follow regularly up to be certain that these items are tended to as required. As for the present employee who was lacking hours of training, they are now complete and submitted with this present reply..
