In order to assure that staff and children are familiar with all of the EOP drills, programs shall: (1) Practice evacuation off-site and bomb threats once per year with all child care staff; (2) Practice at least 2 other components of their EOP with all child care staff and children each calendar year; and (3) Review all EOP response actions with all staff at least 4 times each calendar year.
The licensing coordinator's review of Emergency Operations Plan drills revealed that the program did not practice evacuation off-site and bomb threats in 2024 with all child care staff. Corrective action: Our Time staff will conduct an evacuation to our off-site location as a staff and log the procedure. In the future, this evacuation practice will occur after operation hours on the first Friday that care is offered for the school year. The director will create an additional log to record various emergency drills that are practiced with students (Eg: drop, cover and hold, lock down, reverse evacuation, etc.) in addition to the fire drill log and staff off-site evacuation log.
