Any contaminated, expired, or discontinued medication, whether prescription or over-the-counter, and topical substances shall be returned to the child’s parents or guardians whenever possible or, if belonging to the program, disposed of properly by authorized staff.
The licensing coordinator observed an epi-pen that expired August 2025 which was not disposed of by an authorized staff or returned to the child's parent/guardian. Corrective action: The epi pen has been replaced with a current prescription as of 3/9 Expiration date is now listed on outside of medication bag stored at school.
