Licensing Specialist confirmed with Director that the field was not checked prior before children went outside and the incident occurred. Facility to submit written statement and plan that staff will be sure to check outdoor areas to ensure that it is free from potential hazards to child health or safety.
Licensing Specialist confirmed with Director that a rake was left out on field where the child tripped and was injured. Director stated that she removed the rake after injury occurred and notified the school and the county about the incident. Facility needs to provide a written statement ensuring that potentially harmful items are made inaccessible to the children in care.
