Physical Facility-Outdoors
During the EEC visit, the newly installed playground structure did not have an adequate depth of impact-absorbing material within a minimum of 6 feet in all directions from the perimeter of the equipment. Fall zones were measured and varied from four and a half inches to nine inches in depth. All equipment installed after the effective date of these regulations and all playground equipment in homes first licensed after the effective date of these regulations must be located within use zones that are covered with an adequate depth of an impact-absorbing material, in accordance with EEC policy.
