At the time of visit, the educator was unable to demonstrate proper testing of the smoke detector device and did not demonstrate an effective evacuation drill. The smoke detector observed includes an audible notification feature and did not appear to be properly configured or fully operational. The educator stated the device was last tested during the last licensing visit and acknowledged that it has not been tested on a monthly basis as required.
Licensor observed a drawer in the bathroom unlocked with cleaning products accessible to children. The trash container was observed uncovered/open.
This follow-up visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
