Outdoor Playspace - Hazards
Educator has a swing set that was approved, however, there is a second climbing structure that does not meet the 6 foot fall zones. It was also observed that wood chips need to be refilled and must be the large pieces of woodchips. Ground surfacing depth must be at least 9 inches at all times. There was a slide set up with a waiting pool that measures above 18 inches, this slide is not approved.
It was observed that the educator has an above ground pool setup on the other side of the children’s play space. The educator has a gate that divides her yard. However, the pool did not measure 4 feet in height and the gate that divides the yard does not measure 4 feet in height. It was reviewed with the educator that pools measuring under 4 feet in height must have a sturdy barrier that measures at least 4 feet in height to prevent the access.
Educator would like to add the living room for additional licensed space. It was observed that the fireplace hearth has sharp edges and entire must be covered with a material that will prevent injury.

Educator has a swing set that is not yet approved for use. Swing set must meet fall zone and ground surfacing requirements. Educator must prevent access to this structure until it can be approved for use.
